Wedding of Cova & Luca
Palacio de Aldovea
It turns out today is “the saddest day of the year”, and I only found out at this hour after having had a full-blown blue Monday in every sense, though not because of the usual start-of-week slump, but because I’m swamped with a ton of preparations for weddings that will take place in the coming months. What can I say — we all have our sad days when we least expect them, but since it’s Monday and we’re finishing off the January blues, let’s not think negatively, right? So I thought I’d share on the blog the
wedding
with which we closed out the 2014 season; because if seeing the beautiful photos that Momenta Bodas took of this wedding makes me really, really happy, I’m sure they’ll at least put a smile on the faces of those of you reading the blog, because beautiful things always cheer us up (at least visually).
Cova & Luca hired our wedding planning services three months before their wedding; their planning was already underway but they needed help with the final preparations, the decor, and coordination on the big day. They got married at San Jerónimo El Real, one of the most beautiful churches in Madrid, where we have already held two other weddings we organised; and the reception afterwards took place at one of the venues I most wanted to work at after three and a half years doing weddings: Palacio de Aldovea (what a beautiful place!).
Although they got married on October 18th, the weather felt like summer; the couple couldn’t have looked more beautiful, and the celebration venue turned out gorgeous — largely thanks to the great work of Masshiro, who brought to life the floral decor we designed for this wedding. It’s all perfectly captured in the photo essay by Momenta Bodas, which I’ll leave you with below, not before giving huge THANKS (yes, in capital letters) to the couple for being fantastic clients, and for allowing us to share on the blog the work we did for them on their most special day.
All the photos in this post were taken by Momenta Bodas.
