Wedding of Helena & Diego
We all have days when we wake up on the right side of the bed, when everything seems to run smoothly, and we even get a stroke of luck. In a wedding planner’s life, that “luck” can perfectly well translate into meeting a couple like Helena and Diego.
This couple hired our
decoration and wedding coordination services
just two months before their big day; they already had the venue for saying I Do, they had chosen their looks, the music, a fantastic photographer (L’Atelier Photographie)… But they were missing that extra touch of personality for their wedding, and that’s where I was lucky enough to have them become clients. When I met them they told me they were artists, and that their seating plan wouldn’t just be original, it would be unique, since 25 of their friends and colleagues had each created a piece of art to be part of their wedding’s guest protocol. Each table would be identified by one of these works of art, and we had to figure out how to display them, as well as how to link the guests’ names to them.
We used folding screens to hang the framed artworks against a white background, and we created an exhibition ticket for each guest indicating which table they would be dining at.
I have to say, when I saw how beautiful the pieces their friends had made for this couple were, I really felt lucky to be able to do my bit in making the whole ensemble look just as beautiful.
Besides the seating plan, of course, Helena and Diego’s wedding had many more details, plenty of candles lit the way from the civil ceremony through to the end of the evening, custom-designed signage, and many more little touches that the photographs below will tell you about far better than I can; I won’t ramble on any further, since a picture is worth a thousand words.
Thank you, as always, to Helena and Diego for their trust, for their kindness towards me, and for allowing me to share these beautiful photos of their most special day on the blog today.
