Wedding of Laura & Daniel

Wedding of Laura & Daniel

Monasterio de El Escorial

Being just a few days away from the end of the year, I suppose, pushes all of us to look back. In my case, sharing weddings from several months ago on the blog these weeks also makes me reflect on everything we’ve worked on this year
organizing weddings.
We planned, designed, and coordinated no fewer than 17 weddings held within a span of 6 months; you can imagine that half a year of wedding season has been incredibly intense. Some of the planning work we’ve done this 2014 season I’ve already shared on the blog, and a few more are still pending (you can also follow me on Instagram and see everything we do day to day in real time); and among those still to come is a wedding, like the one I’m showing you today, that I’d been really, really looking forward to bringing to light.

The
planning of this wedding was fully comprehensive
on the part : we helped the couple find the estate to hold their wedding, and to select and hire every single vendor so that their big day would be just as they’d always dreamed. They live in Mexico, and the bride is from there, so in designing the decor we included several nods to that country; with the map we placed in the guest seating chart, the table names, the little flags decorating the menus, or the mariachis who surprised the wedding guests after the cake cutting.

The wedding took place in the countryside (following a religious ceremony at the Monasterio de El Escorial), but the predominant decorative style was far more elegant than rustic: we hung chandeliers above the guest book table, rented tiffany chairs in white and gold for dinner, and light-toned tablecloths to brighten up the hall, we chose pink and gold tones to give the setting a romantic, classic touch, and we filled the whole hall with candles to bring warmth to the banquet.

The floral decoration for the wedding was handled by La Galería de Doña Urraca, who captured exactly what we had in mind in the best possible way; achieving delicate, romantic floral arrangements using cut glass as a base with a vintage feel that went perfectly with the overall decor of the wedding.

The photography was done by Marcos Sánchez, what a marvel to have such beautiful photos of one of our weddings!

I can’t end this post without thanking the couple, as always, for their trust, and wishing them all the happiness in the world in their new married life.

All the photographs in this post were taken by Marcos Sánchez.
