Wedding of Marta & Damián

Centro Riojano

It’s been almost seven months since Marta and Damián’s wedding, and it feels like it was only yesterday. They said I Do at the church of San Manuel y San Benito on October 19, 2013; they came all the way to Madrid from Dallas to celebrate their wedding in the bride’s hometown. Their wedding had a very autumnal feel, and the photo story I’m sharing with you today (the work of Alma Fotografía) shows it beautifully, along with the happiness this couple radiates in every single shot.

A few weeks after their wedding I told you all about it (you can read it here), about how
we organized their wedding in Madrid
, and today I don’t want to go on and on again, since the beautiful images of this
wedding
speak for themselves. I hope you like them!

Don’t you just love vintage-style engagement rings? Marta’s was in her favorite color, royal blue, and I honestly think it couldn’t be more beautiful!

The couple wanted to see each other before the ceremony, so we arranged a first look in front of the hotel where they were both staying, and honestly, judging by how relaxed and happy they look in the photos, doing this seems to calm the nerves so they can enjoy the ceremony even more.

After the ceremony the couple went to Retiro Park and to the Puerta de Alcalá for their couple’s photo session, and for that we gave them some golden balloons (the predominant color in this wedding’s decor) that couldn’t have looked prettier in the photos; a little bit of props always helps if you want to get spontaneous, different images.

The celebration took place at Centro Riojano, which turned out to be perfect for an autumnal wedding without too large a number of guests. The decor was based on classic candles (in candelabras), and gold and orange tones.

To close this post, I can only thank Marta and Damián for their trust in our wedding planning services, for the wonderful way they’ve always treated us since we met, and for letting me share the photos of their most special day on the blog. I hope you’re always as happy as you were last October 19th!
