Wedding of Mirella & David

Museo del Traje

Mirella & David’s wedding was the one that opened this season, almost 7 months ago now, how time flies! It was a truly beautiful wedding, in which the couple were radiant, and gorgeous!
I can’t quite explain why, but every time I sit down to write the post for one of our weddings I remember the day I met the couple. With Mirella & David we had our first meeting at a Starbucks in the Argüelles neighborhood, and that same afternoon we were already visiting venues with them before they caught a train back home. Feels like it was yesterday.
This couple got in touch with us the summer before their wedding, they live in Barcelona and needed a wedding planner to organize the wedding for them on the ground. So we took care of all the preparations for their big day. For the religious ceremony they chose the parish of San Jerónimo El Real, and the celebration afterward was held at the Museo del Traje, which with its central location and modern style fit perfectly with what the couple were looking for (as you know, it’s one of the venues where we’ve organized the most
weddings
, 5 to date, and one of the venues I personally have the most fondness for, thanks to the good times lived there with our couples).
Mirella wore a design made for her by De Arroyo Atelier, which she paired with a bouquet by Sally Hambleton and a belt by Lia Terni. I’m sure you’ll agree with me when I say she looked spectacular, with a style that shows through in every one of the photos of her big day.
For the wedding photography they chose the studio of Beatriz Goiri, a great choice as you’ll be able to see in all the images illustrating this post.
The decor at the Museo del Traje was full of little details, signs with the cities that mattered most to them, photos of the couple’s travels, a seating plan where each table was a TV show the couple used to watch as children, hangover-cure kits at the open bar, balm favors for the female guests, espadrilles for dancing… All of it accompanied by the beautiful flowers from La Galería de Doña Urraca, who handled the wedding’s floral decor. And the menu graphics adapted with a drawing of a vintage hot air balloon that the couple loved and that reflected one of the most characteristic aspects of their relationship: the trips they’ve taken together.
A million thanks to Mirella & David for being such fantastic clients to work with, honestly I only have words of gratitude for them, not just for the months of work before the wedding but also for their generosity afterward, letting us use the photos of their wedding on this blog and in other outlets that wanted to feature this beautiful wedding. May you always be as happy as you were last April 5th! 🙂
