Wedding of Rebeca & Ángel (I)
Museo del Traje
For me, every job I do is special for some reason, every couple is completely different, and every celebration is unique; so the enthusiasm we put into organizing each and every one of our weddings is always the same.
Even so, there are weddings that bring together several features that make me enjoy showing them on the blog even more than usual when the time comes. The wedding we held this past July 5th at the Museo del Traje has undoubtedly been one of them. Because of the wonderful photographer the couple had chosen before hiring me (Raquel Benito), who took photos of the wedding that couldn’t have been more beautiful. Because it was the fifth
wedding
we’d held at the Museo del Traje; and I have to say, I just love this venue. Because the couple had very clear ideas and it was super easy to shape the styling they wanted us to create for their wedding day. And because I have clients who I don’t deserve, who make me reaffirm that the best part of this job is the people you meet along the way (thank you for letting me share your wedding on the blog!); and who were also gorgeous and sooo happy on their wedding day.
The couple got in touch with us
just two months before their big day, when they already had a lot of things organized, but they were missing that special touch for their wedding through the event’s decoration (and a few other details like the cocktail hour’s music, the guests’ little gifts, or the kids’ entertainment). It was very important to them that their wedding reflect their aesthetic taste, they had personally designed the wedding’s graphics, and they wanted everything else to follow the same elegant, simple, and romantic line they had envisioned for their big day.
We got straight to work on designing the wedding’s setup. For the ceremony, white chairs were rented, with clean lines, very well suited to the setting of the Museo del Traje building. We laid down a grey carpet marking the path to the officiant’s table, with decorative details at its start with demijohns, hand fans, and petals for after the I Do tucked into kraft paper bags. The floral decoration was handled by Ginkgo Biloba, who did a wonderful job following the guidelines we gave them so the atmosphere would be fully coordinated and the overall decor would make sense. We chose a lovely bench for the couple to sit on during the ceremony, and at the table we combined floral arrangements with candles on individual white candlesticks.
I’ll leave it there for today, the photography for this beautiful wedding was done by Raquel Benito, and the couple gave me so many incredibly beautiful photos that I’m going to have to make two blog posts with them, because I wasn’t able to make a tight enough selection to tell the story of the wedding in a single post. I hope you like it!
